How to migrate content to a new LMS

One of the easiest ways to make sure your content can be moved from one LMS to another is to make sure it is standards conformant. SCORM and AICC are current standards used internationally that provide guidance for how content should be formatted and how datalike score, lesson status and bookmarking should be communicated. Many LMS come with an authoring tool component. Before you use such a tool, be sure it can create a SCORM conformant output and that the content itself can be easily extracted for use authoring in other tools.
