Challenge

The Vinson Institute of Government was looking for someone to create e-learning templates and supporting documents for creating e-learning. This would need to be easily understood and have a fast adoption rate as those that would be creating training are graduate students who are only there for two years at a time. The training also needed to be 508 compliant.

Solution

Interactive Advantage developed an accessibility strategy for their e-learning content. This included a set of templates and supporting documentation for how and why they were going to meet Section 508 compliance rules and enable their transient staff of graduate assistants to develop their e-learning content. This e-learning development process and template set had to be such that someone could learn quickly when they come in. Graduate assistants are there for two years at a time so the training must be made in a way that someone new can take over and understand every two years.

Results

Interactive Advantage was able to provide these templates and processes to the Vinson Institute for their graduate students to use in creating e-learning.

About

Since 1927, the Carl Vinson Institute of Government has worked with public officials throughout Georgia and around the world to improve governance and people's lives. From Georgia's early days as a largely agrarian state with a modest population to its modern-day status as a national and international force in business, industry, and politics with a population of 10 million, we have helped government leaders navigate change and forge strong directions for a more prosperous Georgia.

Every day, more than 150 faculty and staff provide technical assistance, training, and technology solutions to Georgia's state and local governments as well as governments around the world.
